By the end of the session, participants should:

• Demonstrate knowledge to accurately complete patient information required for lab purposes.
• Understand ethical principles involved.
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill and attitude to successfully collect quality samples with minimal trauma to the patient / client (Including elderly, paediatrics and difficult veins).
• Demonstrate knowledge, skill and attitude to collect non-blood samples for Microbiology studies.
• Correct labelling of specimens to ensure accurate processing.
