Dr Chanel Kingsburgh

Dr Chanel Kingsburgh obtained her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Pretoria in 2006, following which she spent some time working in HIV medicine, TB research and dermatology. She completed her specialisation as a clinical microbiologist at the University of Pretoria in 2017. She is currently working in the Microbiology Department of Ampath Laboratories, but maintains her affiliation with the University of Pretoria in order to continue her passion for research and teaching. Her special interests are in the areas of sexual health, common outpatient infections and infections with resistant Gram negative organisms.
