Dr Grisselda Mavuso

Dr Mavuso is a clinical pathologist with 15 years of experience in clinical laboratories across both public and private sectors. She works in the central region of Ampath, specifically in the microbiology department. Her qualifications include FC PATH (Clinical), DTM&H, an MBA, and a certificate in travel medicine.

In her role she serves as a microbiology consultant, manage infection control and antimicrobial stewardship programs, conduct ward rounds, and contributes to laboratory management, total quality control, and marketing efforts. She is part of the Microbiology peer group, which is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and delivery of services in our microbiology laboratories by using evidence-based professional and management skills to achieve this. She enjoys assisting our clients with patient care management, and she continually seeks opportunities for growth and making a positive impact in our industry.
