Dr Jenine de Meyer

Dr Jenine de Meyer joined Ampath in January 2025. Jenine completed her undergraduate medical studies at the University of Pretoria in 2004. After completion of her internship and community service, she gained experience in multiple disciplines as a medical officer in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Upon her return to South Africa, she completed a diploma in anaesthetics before specialising in medical microbiology. She obtained her Fellowship in Medical Microbiology, a Master of Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the University of Witwatersrand. After specialisation, Jenine worked as a consultant pathologist in private practice in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Jenine has a special interest in antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, interdisciplinary healthcare and tropical diseases.
