Dr Mada Ferreira

Dr Mada Ferreira is a medical doctor with a strong academic background in haematology and transfusion medicine. She holds an MMed in Haematology and Cell Biology (1999) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Transfusion Medicine (2010), both with distinction from the University of the Free State, as well as an MBChB from the University of Pretoria (1992).

She currently serves as a co-opted member of the Clinical Governance Committee of the Board of the South African National Blood Service (2022–2025) and is a registered bone marrow donor with the South African Bone Marrow Registry.

Her professional interests include blood transfusion and related sciences, haematological oncology, and mentorship.
