Dr Nico Lategan

After completing my MBChB at the University of Stellenbosch I did my house doctor year in the Free State.

As a medical officer, I obtained experience in cardiology and obstetrics & gynaecology. I worked as a GP in private practice for a few years before commencing with my MMed (Haematology & Cell biology) at the University of the Free State.

In 1998, my career as a Haematologist started at Ampath Laboratories in Pretoria where I now hold the position of director and shareholder in the practice.   

My interests include travelling, camping, music and food-and-wine pairings. A bucket list highlight is exploring lighthouses.

I am family orientated and love spending time with my grandchildren who enrich my life.
