Sarah Walters

Sarah Walters has dual registration asan HPCSA-registered genetic counsellor and medical scientist and is currently the Genetic Counsellor Team Lead at Ampath Laboratories. She has over 20 years of experience in counselling clients in various genetic conditions and is also involved in lab work analysis of sequencing and array CGH. She has a particular interest in educating other healthcare professionals in Human Genetics and is currently completing her PhD in this topic. She serves as an assessor,moderator, and site assessor for the HPCSA as well as training coordinator for intern medical scientists in Genetics at the Ampath NRL Genetics. Her expertise has allowed her to present at various local and international congresses.
