Influenza PCR

An Influenza PCR test detects the genetic material of the influenza virus in respiratory specimens. This test is offered in combination with COVID-19 and RSV virus (COVTRIPCR). The symptoms of these viruses overlap, and hence a doctor cannot clinically distinguish between them.

Influenza antigen

Influenza antigens are surface proteins on influenza viruses that are recognized by the immune system, triggering antibody production. Influenza rapid tests make use of influenza antigens to detect influenza.
